We continue to expand our vision for serving our hobbyist audiences in as many ways as possible and this acquisition serves to better improve our plans service offering. The Customer Services Team at My Hobby Store will now be fulfilling all orders processed from the 1st June 2009. We are as passionate about your hobbies as you are – and our aim is to satisfy that “must have” feeling in everything we do.

Searching for that elusive model plan dropped from the well known MAP/ARGUS/NEXUS listings? Or from the well known, to older modellers at least, X Lists. A selection of the plans which formed the X List are included here plus many more which have not seen the light of day for many years. The total list approaches some 2,500 plans and an unillustrated list is available from the address below as hard copy, or you can view the PDF file below. If you have some of the old MAP/ARGUS/NEXUS Plans Handbooks in your possession then you will be able to identify many of the plans. The PDF list and the website was last updated on 29th December 2008.

REGULAR VISITORS WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY DOWNLOADED THE PDF LIST SHOULD NOTE THAT MANY PRICES HAVE BEEN CHANGED AND THEIR ARE NOW TWO SECTIONS - SECTION ONE INCLUDES APPROXIMATELY 1000 PLANS THAT WE HAVE SCANNED FROM THE ORIGINAL INK TRACINGS AND IN MANY CASES CLEANED UP.  SECTION TWO LISTS A FURTHER 1500 PLANS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN ORDERED OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS AND HAVE NOT BEEN SCANNED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THESE PLANS WILL BE IN OUR ARCHIVE SHOULD WE NEED TO RETRIEVE THEM IF ORDERED, NOR CAN WE GUARANTEE THEIR QUALITY. IF YOU WISH TO ORDER A PLAN FROM SECTION TWO THERE IS A £5.00 SURCHARGE FOR SEARCHING THE ARCHIVE, SCANNING AND CLEANING UP PRIOR TO PRINTING.

All our plans are now plotted from digital scans. Many of the plans have been generally cleaned up and represent the best reproduction that we are able to achieve from what are in many cases very old and fragile masters. We will do the best job we can of printing them but will not refund for "difficult to read" plans - they cost the same to print "as easy to read" plans! As mentioned above, we have been forced to increase the prices of some of the obscure plans. If you choose a plan from this list you may be the first person to have ordered it in more than 20 years and we will have to search our archives, dig out the plan, scan it and print it for you.

Missing Plans from our list. As it has not proved possible for us to cross check the full PDF list, it is not guaranteed to be accurate. Your order may be the first for a particular plan so until we look for it, we do not know if it still exists. If that is the case, your cheque and/or your credit card transaction will not be processed.

This site includes a selection of the plans that are currently available from us. If you don't find what you want today, then come back in the future as we hope to be adding to the list - or send an email to customer.services@myhobbystore.com with your enquiry. We cannot email the total list to you - click on the PDF link above. The hard copy is only available from the address below.

Placing an Order

Spend a few minutes and browse our lists - then if something takes your fancy, use our Order Form (click on the Plan Number/Name) to take you initially to the Order Form, print out the Order Form and fill in all the necessary details. You can send a Cheque drawn on a UK Bank made out to 'My Hobby Store Ltd', Bankers Draft, or Vias/Mastercard/Switch card. Don't forget to include the security number on the back of the card for all credit card applications. Send the form containing your details to X List Plans Service, My Hobby Store Ltd, Berwick House, 8-10 Knoll Rise, Orpington, Kent, BR6 0PS. Also, if paying by Credit or Debit Card, you can email your order to customer.services@myhobbystore.com.

We do NOT take orders over the telephone. Also please note that delivery can be 28 days. This is because none of the plans are kept ready-printed - all have to be recovered from originals, possibly scanned, then printed. This all takes place by different people at various locations so is time-consuming. And of course, we cannot print one plan at a time - it is not viable - and orders to our suppliers usually take place on a weekly basis. Depending on the day of receipt of order, it may take as little as 7 days or as long as 28 days for your order to arrive within the UK. Add at least 7 days to delivery times for overseas postage.

(Trade Discount terms may be offered to bona-fide model traders on orders of £15 or over retail value.)

Our Aim

Our philosophy is to make available those hard-to-find plans no longer available from other commercial suppliers, and to get them to you within a reasonable period - usually no more than 35 days to UK addresses.
